Joshua Alblas
I'm Joshua Alblas, 28 years old, and have been working at 2-control since March 2, 2026. Originally from Rotterdam, I've been living for three years now in Oude Tonge on the peaceful island of Goeree-Overflakkee. And no — it may look like Zeeland, it sometimes acts like Zeeland, but officially it is very much still part of Zuid-Holland. 😉
Within 2-control, I'm strengthening the team as an IT auditor. I bring a fresh perspective thanks to my experience at two other IT audit firms. I recently completed the Executive Master of IT Auditing at TIAS in Tilburg, and I'm currently in the process of applying for the RE designation with NOREA. Before that, I studied Information Security Management at The Hague University of Applied Sciences from 2017 to 2022, at the Innovation Factory in Zoetermeer. Going back even further, I completed a programme in ICT Management at Techniek College Rotterdam. For now I've done enough studying, but knowing my curiosity, I'll undoubtedly hit the books again in the future.
In my spare time, you'll probably find me behind my PC playing Elden Ring or Baldur's Gate 3. I'm also a regular at the cinema, and when the weather is nice I head out to cycle or hike around the island. I work out four times a week in my home gym in the attic and occasionally go bouldering at Boulderhal Bruut in Breda. Last but not least, I have a love/hate relationship with my 2002 Honda Civic Type R: I enjoy tinkering with it, but sometimes spend just as much time on the hard shoulder waiting for roadside assistance. Don't worry, I won't be driving it to client visits. 😄
I'm looking forward to getting to know the team and clients of 2-control better and finding my place within the organisation.
